You're Grounded... How to Survive Lockdown

If you live in the UK you will know that, without using the word "lockdown", our Prime Minister grounded us for three weeks starting today. I know it sounds hard, being stuck at home without working for three weeks. I know only being allowed out to buy food, or medicine sucks. I know that going out for exercise once a day alone or with your household sounds hard, and it can be. However I am here to make it easier for you. I have some experience in losing your independence for an extended period of time. I am two years cancer free, and that time has flown by. I am confident there are things we can all do to pass the time and not cause ourselves unnecessary stress so here is my list of how to survive being locked down 1. Don't Panic "In the beginning the universe was created. This has made a lot of people angry and was widely regarded as a 'bad move'"- Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy In the words of Douglas Adams, "don't panic". Panic...

I love you; its a fever dream

This week has been kind of full. Tonight is the first night I've been at home since Wednesday last week. On Thursday's we visit Polly's mum. On Friday we drove to Manchester... It took seven freaking hours! It should take four. And when I say we drove I mean I . I shouldn't moan because we were in Manchester for something I wanted to do. Now, I know you might be reading this saying, "Well they're first album is great, and the second is good, and their third is... meh". I agree, but there are some great tracks; Alligator, Vulture Vulture and Wild Roses... but when they play live, they are every bit eccentric and folky and the ...

Who Sammi is...

In case you didn't get it from the url, or title of this post,  I'm Sammi.  Welcome to my little corner of the internet; I thought I should write a bit about myself because you're probably wondering if you landed here by accident. At time of writing I'm 31, and living on the Jurassic Coastline, Dorset. My town is famously known as "Broadchurch", but us locals like to call it Bridport. I moved here just after the last season was shot, so my life wasn't disrupted as much as others.  I'm from Dorset originally, from Poole, but have lived in Fuerteventura and Sweden, too. I like to travel and get away as often as possible. I've been to 27 countries, including Canada, Morocco and Indonesia (Bali, specifically). My next stop is Switzerland to visit my old housemate for her birthday. I live with my partner, Polly. We've been together since July 2018. We met at a funny time (I had just been diagnosed with cancer but that's for a sepa...
